Buster Brown #3

The issue features a Robin Hood adventure story in which young Jed encounters a man named Edward who knows Whitbury Castle well and agrees to guide him there. Edward turns out to be a serf planning to rescue the Duke, whom he believes is imprisoned in the castle's study. After Edward and his fellow serfs storm the castle, Jed learns that his own father, Dad Farraday, has been moved to town; Jed joins Edward's cause and the group battles their way through to free the Duke. In a parallel lesson, Jed's father teaches him gun safety and marksmanship, emphasizing proper technique and the importance of using a firearm responsibly, concluding that Jed has learned to draw faster than anyone else and warning him never to draw first.
