Paul Grist's Burglar Bill has a wonderfully dry sense of humor baked right into its cover: a broad-shouldered, square-jawed police constable — complete with custodian helmet and walkie-talkie — looms imposingly in front of a police station, all cool blues and sharp lines. There's a quietly comic tension in that title paired with that image, hinting at the kind of crime-and-consequence storytelling Grist does so well. If you've enjoyed his work on Kane, this third issue looks like more of the same confident, stylish British crime comics craft.
