“King der Grenzreiter”

"King der Grenzreiter" brings a rare, early tale from Bill Finger, with Wayne Boring’s dynamic art and Stan Kaye’s crisp inks, delivering a classic Superman origin that remains grounded in emotional weight and quiet heroism. Set on Krypton, it follows Jor-El’s desperate attempt to warn the Council of Five, culminating in the planet’s destruction and the flight of his son to Earth—where he will grow up under the care of the Kents and inherit a destiny far greater than any one man. The cover by Wayne Boring and Stan Kaye captures the solemn gravity of the moment, a 50-DEM comic from 1953 that still resonates with timeless sincerity.
