To make amends, Bugs enters a Monty Hall–esque game show to find the perfect wedding gift, turning down a yacht and a car for a surprisingly thoughtful waffle iron. Written by Mark Evanier and illustrated by Tom McKimson, with vibrant colors by the Western Publishing Production Shop and crisp lettering by Larry Mayer, this 1975 classic features a delightfully absurd twist on romance and generosity, all capped by Ralph Heimdahl’s sharp, playful cover art.

Through a series of misunderstandings, Bugs first believes Elmer is going to get married, and then that his bride is going to leave him for someone else after the wedding – once she gets her hands on his money. Along the way, in order to afford a wedding gift for Fudd, Bugs finds himself on a “Let’s Make a Deal” type giveaway game show, with a host drawn to conjure up images of Monty Hall. On the show, Bugs turns down both a yacht and a new car in favor of a more “wedding-gift-appropriate” waffle iron.
