Buffy the Vampire Slayer #7

Buffy sits alone in a circle of flickering candles and ritual objects — draped in a dark cloak, gripping a ornate dagger, and glancing back warily over her shoulder — in this atmospheric cover by Marc Aspinall for Boom! Studios' 2019 reimagining. The earthy canyon setting, carved stone totems, and wisps of purple smoke suggest the Slayer has wandered somewhere ancient and deeply unsettling. Writer Jordie Bellaire and artists David López and Sas Milledge keep this series feeling fresh and genuinely moody, and issue #7 looks like a fine place to feel that tension.
