This second volume of the Buck Danny Gesamtausgabe continues the comprehensive German-language collection of the classic Belgian aviation adventure series. It brings together several of the original Franco-Belgian albums, following the exploits of U.S. Navy pilot Buck Danny and his squadron mates as they face Cold War-era aerial missions and geopolitical intrigue. Published by Salleck, this edition presents the stories in a restored, oversized format with supplementary material for collectors.
Buck Danny Gesamtausgabe #2, titled "Die Söhne des Himmels," features the classic adventure series by Georges Troisfontaines, Jean-Michel Charlier, and Klaus Jöken, with artwork by Victor Hubinon, who also handled inking, coloring, and lettering. The story centers on Buck Danny and his companions in a high-stakes aerial mission, illustrated in the signature detailed style of Hubinon. The cover, also by Hubinon, captures the dramatic tone of the tale.
