"Held Up by Highwaymen!" tells the story of Mr. Bunty's Christmas shopping expedition, which is interrupted when highwaymen stop the delivery truck; the children—Snowball, Pompy, Hank, Dutchie, Ching and Jackie—dress up as highwaymen themselves to help recover the stolen Christmas presents. The issue also contains "The Jungle Boy," an adventure story about a young boy and his chimpanzee companion Bottle who encounter gorillas in a hollow tree while attempting to escape danger in the jungle. Additional features include "Jill of Greydawns Orphanage," a story about orphans and their interactions; various comic strips and puzzles; and advertisements for the Bubbles Annual and other children's content.
