Published in 2014 by Levins Print, this Irish-language comic brings the legendary story of Brian Bóroimhe and the Battle of Clontarf to life through the collaborative work of writer Rory McConville, poet Gabriel Rosenstock, and artist Deirdre de Barra, who also handles inks and colors throughout. De Barra's cover art sets the historical and dramatic tone for this retelling of one of Ireland's most storied medieval conflicts. It's a rare and welcome effort to present Irish history and heritage through the comic book medium, in the Irish language itself.
