Brenda Starr investigates a mysterious swindler named Brassee who has fled town with her cousin Abretha, taking a valuable youth-ray ring in the process. Detective Traverts assists Brenda in tracking down Brassee at the Swankana Hotel, where Brassee plans to sell the miraculous ring for $9,000 to support his luxurious lifestyle. The issue also includes a short story titled "Tiptoe to Tulips" about a young dancer named Lula who meets a mysterious man named Jim McMillinger at her apartment.
