Ricky was studying to be a scientist and met Millie when she spilled coffee on his lecture notes. She offered to re-type them and soon they started seeing each other. But when Millie gets promoted, their career paths become an obstacle. When Ricky gets his big chance to do research in Canada, he asks Millie to marry him, but she doesn't want to give up her marvelous job. Realizing it wouldn't work out between them, Ricky leaves for Canada without her.
