“Image of a Boy”

In "Image of a Boy," Jo confesses his feelings for Valerie to Lorna, sparking a tense rift between the two women. The next day, Lorna finds herself at odds with the film directors, who accuse her of demanding a cut of the profits—just as Valerie suspects Eddie is behind the sabotage. With Julio Bosch handling both art and inks, this 1963 issue captures quiet tension and shifting loyalties in a story that lingers in the space between trust and suspicion.

Jo tells Lorna that he loves Valerie. Initially, Lorna is mad, but the next morning she is working with Valerie again. When Lorna meets the directors, they greet her coldly. They claim that, in addition to her salary, Lorna wants ten per cent of the takings, too. Valerie suspects this is the work of Eddie, trying to get Lorna in trouble.
