“Brotherly Love”

In "Brotherly Love," Laurie confronts her feelings when she sees Clive with another girl at the flower stall she runs. With Tom’s help, she disguises herself, but her emotions get the better hand—leading to a moment of raw honesty and a sudden shift in her heart. As she decides to meet Philip, a choice looms: the market she knows, or the love she’s always ignored. Illustrated with quiet intensity by Julio Bosch, this poignant tale captures a moment of emotional reckoning, drawn with a sensitivity that lingers beyond the final panel.

While working at the flower stall she inherited, she sees Clive coming along with another girl. Tom helps Laurie disguise herself with a scarf and dark glasses, but she becomes so furious when Clive buys flowers for the other girl that she removes her disguise and throws the flowers at him. Deciding that it was really Philip she had always loved, she arranges to meet him. He says he loves her, but gives her an ultimatum - choose either the flower market or him.
