Gregory Rogers brings his signature wordless storytelling to this delightful 2004 adventure, and the cover alone promises plenty of cheerful chaos. A large bear wearing a Viking helmet and blue cape goes hurtling across the scene, towing along a wild-haired bard clutching a lute, a frantic baron in period dress, and a boy — all linked in a wonderfully frenzied chain of motion. It's the kind of cover that makes you want to flip it open immediately just to find out how on earth this unlikely quartet ended up in such a predicament.
