In the aftermath of a violent thunderstorm, two strange, gourd-shaped eggs crash to Earth, each housing an alien creature of otherworldly origin. When the female is killed, the male, driven by instinct and grief, goes on a desperate rampage through the night, searching for its lost mate. Amid the shadows and silence, a young man named Mark Keller finds himself caught in the path of something ancient and alien—while a mysterious figure known as Mystagogen Boris watches from the edge of the storm.
