“Star Trek Parody”

In "Star Trek Parody," comic collector Rex Luthor grows fed up with real-life superheroes who are either inept—like Ultraguy—or obsessed with fame and fortune, like Joe Power. Fueled by frustration, he liquidates his collection to fund a super-criminal lab, setting a trap designed to finally outsmart them both. Written by Ward Batty and illustrated by Charlie Williams, with cover art by Charlie Williams, this 1986 parody from ParaGraphics blends satire and pulp energy in a clever, self-aware take on superhero tropes.
