The second volume of Bodegas' Rioja arc arrives with a cover that captures the soul of the series beautifully — a dark-clad man stands amid sun-baked vineyard rows, holding a glass of red wine up to the light with quiet, appraising intensity, an ancient stone tower and weathered marker rising behind him. Francisco Ruizgé's artwork bathes the landscape in warm, dusty ochres that make the Rioja countryside feel almost tangible. Written by Éric Corbeyran and Kris De Saeger, this 2023 Dutch-language release promises more of the passion and intrigue simmering beneath the world of fine winemaking.
