Driving in a snowstorm, Wendy brakes just in time to avoid hitting a man on the road. She manages to reach a small inn to learn that the roads will be blocked for days and the man from the road has no memory of who he is. Spending the following days together, they fall in love. But when the roads clear, reporters converge on the man and a woman claiming to be his wife rushes forward.
