In "Bugsie Siegal," a criminal named Bugsie and an accomplice target a woman's jewelry collection, setting up an electrical trap in her home to incapacitate her boyfriend. After a violent confrontation where Bugsie shoots the detective protecting them, the criminals flee with stolen jewelry and a car, heading toward a swamp to escape police pursuit. Frank Larson, owner of a small night club with connections to shady deals, had originally purchased the jewels from Bugsie and the boys; when the criminals attempt to extort nine hundred dollars from him, Larson refuses, leading to a final confrontation. The story concludes with a moral lesson about the consequences of crime, noting that Bugsie Siegal was ultimately executed.
