“Who Is Ted Dare?”

In "Who Is Ted Dare?", Jack Warren crafts a surreal, dreamlike sequence as Krisko and Jasper, stranded aboard a submarine in a minefield, drift into a fantastical vision of King Neptune—only to be chased through the depths when their plea for help goes unanswered. The story unfolds with a blend of wartime tension and whimsical fantasy, all drawn and inked by Warren in his signature style, while Bob Davis delivers a striking cover that captures the sub's perilous plight.

Having been rescued, Krisko and Jasper now find themselves aboard a sub in the midst of a mine field, seemingly with no hope of escape. So they decide to take a siesta, and during their dream, they visit King Neptune and demand what he is going to do about the mine's that threaten the sub. He resents the attempt and chases the duo until Krisko's head hits a mine and there is an explosion. They awake with the Captain yelling at them to get into the sub because they are being attacked.
