“The Mysterious Black Cloud!”

In "The Mysterious Black Cloud!", Eddie and Jerry, on a tropical adventure to the island of Tago Tago, take a glass-bottom boat tour and stumble upon a curious scene: passengers tossing coins to native divers. When one diver is nearly injured by a passing boat, the boys come to his aid—earning a grateful stranger’s gift: a strange black box recovered from the sea. Inside, they find a cryptic map that promises more than just a simple treasure hunt. Written by Ray Gill and illustrated by Harold DeLay, with a striking cover by Bob Davis, this 1941 adventure blends island mystery with a dash of the unknown, all wrapped in the crisp, energetic style of early comic book storytelling.
