"Blue Bolt" follows the superhero and his team as they work on a film production at Liberty Studios, where they must protect actress Blana Barner from danger while filming a movie about Red Cross nurses; the story involves spies and crooks infiltrating the set. The issue also includes "Chameleon" and "Target and the Targeteers," as well as "The True Life Story of Ruby Rot Fitzsimmons," a biographical account of the boxer who at age 18 knocked out four men in one night, won the heavyweight crown at 35, and had his last professional fight after age 50, beginning his fighting career in Cornwall, England before emigrating to New Zealand.
Pete Stockbridge, alias the Chameleon, finds himself framed for murder when a young woman is shot dead at the Crane Club—and he's the perfect patsy, with the gun planted right in front of him. On the run and desperate to clear his name, the master of disguise must track down the real killer before the electric chair becomes his final curtain call. With his quick thinking and talent for transformation, Pete sets out to expose the conspiracy and prove his innocence.
