“Inside Project: Born Again”

In "Inside Project: Born Again," the shattered remnants of Bloodstrike are reassembled by the mysterious Project Born Again, each piece stitched back into a body with haunting memories and unresolved guilt. With Cabbot torn between resistance and the violent echoes of his brother Battlestone, Noble recruits Chapel—banned from Youngblood due to his HIV status—to lead the fractured team. Written by Keith Giffen and Eric Stephenson, with art by Giffen, Stephenson, and Chris Alexander, and a cover by Dan Fraga and Art Thibert, this 1993 Image Comics issue dives into the cost of resurrection and the weight of second chances.

Having literally been torn apart by Supreme, the members of Bloodstrike are gathered up by Project Born Again who begins to put the pieces back together again. Cabbot resists the resurrection process but is finally goaded into returning to the land of the living by violent memories of his brother, Battlestone. Since Cabbot managed to get his entire team killed on their last outing, Noble brings in Chapel (who has been kicked off of Youngblood thanks to his HIV positive status) to lead Bloodstrike.
