Bloodshot #37

Bloodshot laid out in an open coffin, his red-circle chest emblem unmistakable even in repose, sets a striking and unsettling tone for this 1995 Valiant entry. Looming over the graveyard scene behind him are two ominous figures — a seductive woman in black and a skull-faced man in a red top hat — standing beside a headstone that reads "Bloodshot R.I.P." The cover by Brent Anderson is moody and atmospheric, and with Mike Grell crafting the story titled "Lazarus Rising," there's clearly more life left in this tale than the tombstone suggests.
