Showdown in Clowntown" kicks off with a cover that's hard to ignore — Bloodshot, loaded with ammunition belts and blazing guns, launches forward while an enormous clown villain looms menacingly overhead, explosions lighting up the background and a chaotic scramble of colorful clown figures filling the edges. Michael Bair's pencils, inked by Mike Vosburg, pack the composition with kinetic energy that suits Valiant's hard-hitting action style perfectly. Part one of two, this March 1995 issue promises the kind of over-the-top confrontation the title does best.
