The tagline "Where Bloodlines End…" sets a suitably ominous tone for this 1993 DC crossover event, and Ed Hannigan and Tom McWeeney deliver a cover absolutely packed with action — Superman charges forward at the center of the chaos, surrounded by Batman, The Flash, and a sprawling cast of heroes battling a host of monstrous alien creatures. The sheer density of the image, with tentacles, claws, and energy blasts filling every corner, makes a strong case that the DC Universe is in serious trouble by the time Bloodbath Part One gets underway. If you were following the Bloodlines annuals in 1993, this two-part finale promised to bring everything to a head in spectacular fashion.
