Blood & Thunder #5

A red-haired woman hefts an enormous multi-barreled weapon onto her shoulder as a pack of glowing-eyed werewolves closes in through a fog-drenched forest — it's a tense, beautifully composed standoff that captures the series' pulpy monster-hunting energy perfectly. E. J. Su's cover work is confident and atmospheric, with MSassyK's cool blue palette making those burning red eyes pop with genuine menace. Benito Cereno and the whole creative team are clearly having a great time with this one, and issue #5 looks like a wild ride.
