Chic Young's long-running domestic comedy strip gets another delightful outing in this 1959 Harvey issue, and the cover sets the tone perfectly: Dagwood is in full panic mode, clinging to a rope-wrapped pole with a paint brush in hand while a woodpecker cheerfully taps away below him ("Tap! Tap! Tap!") and Blondie looks on from a safe distance. It's the kind of wonderfully chaotic, everyday-gone-wrong humor that made this series so endearing, all rendered with Young's characteristic loose, expressive cartooning.
