Dagwood has clearly outdone himself on this fishing trip — he staggers home clutching an enormous fish nearly as big as he is, crying that he had to walk all the way because they wouldn't let him on the bus, while a wide-eyed Blondie looks on in disbelief and their excitable pink dog goes absolutely wild at their feet. Paul Fung Jr.'s cover art captures the Bumstead family's cheerful domestic chaos with warm, expressive linework that made Charlton's All New Blondie a reliable treat in 1974. Chic Young's beloved characters are in fine form here, promising the kind of good-natured comedy that made this strip a household staple.
