Volume 16 of Ai Yori Aoshi (published in France as Bleu Indigo by Pika Édition in 2006) presents a quietly captivating cover: a young woman in a soft purple kimono, her short lavender hair framing a thoughtful, gentle expression as she rests her chin near her hand. Kou Fumizuki's art brings an understated elegance to this installment, the delicate floral motifs of the kimono and the cool blue-and-white background perfectly evoking the series' blend of warmth and wistfulness.
