Blackhawk #221
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of this June 1966 DC issue says it all — a hulking, moon-faced villain draped in a star-studded purple cape looms over multiple Blackhawk team members in their distinctive red uniforms, hurling them aside with swirling green energy tendrils while boasting that a little "moon madness" will knock the fight right out of them. Dick Dillin and Chuck Cuidera deliver a wonderfully dynamic composition that makes the Moon Monster feel genuinely threatening against the bright yellow-and-blue background. Also featured this issue is a solo Hendrickson spotlight in the "Detached Service Diary" backup, making #221 a nicely packed package for fans of the squadron.
