This July 1965 DC issue poses a deliciously tense question right on the cover: "Which Way Will Blackhawk Die?" — and the scene delivers on that drama, with Blackhawk backed against a rocky pillar, a gun leveled at him, while two teammates in red uniforms urgently drill through the stone in a desperate bid to rescue him.
