The finale of Richard K. Morgan's six-part "The Things They Say About Her" arrives with a cover by Sean Phillips that puts Natasha Romanoff front and center — red hair blazing, expression fierce and searching, a gun leveled in each hand as a black widow spider hovers ominously above her in a sniper's crosshairs. It's a quietly charged image, all controlled tension, that captures everything compelling about this version of the character: dangerous, watchful, and impossible to look away from. A strong closing chapter to a mature Marvel limited series from 2006, brought to life with real craft by Phillips and inker Bill Sienkiewicz.
