Phil Noto's cover for Black Widow #17 is a haunting, beautifully spare image: Natasha stands in a blizzard, her red hair whipping against a white winter coat, rifle in hand, her expression calm and resolute. In the foreground, a bloodied hand reaches toward her from the snow — a detail that gives the whole image a quiet, unsettling weight. Nathan Edmondson and Noto close out their 2015 run with "Fight the Future," and this cover alone makes a compelling case for why their collaboration has been one of Marvel's most visually distinctive.
