Image Comics' Black & White #3 (January 1995) delivers a cover by Art Thibert that's packed with kinetic energy — a male hero in a purple coat hurls himself forward amid a ground-level explosion while a silver-haired woman in combat gear charges alongside him, and looming above them both is a massive armored mech unleashing a blazing energy beam, all as suited gunmen close in from the flanks. It's a chaotic, beautifully rendered snapshot of a series that clearly doesn't slow down. With Art and Pamela Thibert sharing writing duties and Steve Oliff's colors bringing the action to vivid life, "Grey" looks like a compelling chapter in this mid-90s Image title.
