Black Science #15

Rick Remender and Matteo Scalera's dimension-hopping series hits issue #15 with a cover that practically crackles with urgency — a bearded, armored man hurls himself through a blazing amber sky above a domed, otherworldly cityscape, pursued by a white-haired, masked figure brandishing a blade and additional airborne combatants closing in from every angle. Scalera's fiery, radial composition pulls the eye straight down into the alien skyline below, making the whole scene feel like a freefall through someone else's world. If you've been riding along with Black Science, this 2015 issue looks like exactly the kind of breathless, dimension-fracturing chaos the series does so well.
