Magnin's cover draws the eye across a breathtaking hidden grotto where a tall ship with furled sails drifts toward a massive stone archway draped in waterfall, while in the foreground a torch-bearing pirate with sword drawn watches alongside a young companion — and to the right, a cloaked figure reaches toward two ethereal, ghostly apparitions accompanied by a skeletal presence.
