Black Magick #16

Nicola Scott's cover for issue #16 of Black Magick sets an urgent, atmospheric tone: a dark-haired woman grips the handlebars of a BMW motorcycle, her jaw set with determination, while a pale, unsettling figure clings close behind her against a warm amber sky. The tension between the two riders — one grounded and focused, the other eerily detached — captures the series' signature blend of the procedural and the supernatural. Greg Rucka and Scott continue "Ascension I" here, and if this striking image is any indication, the story shows no signs of letting up.
