This November 1992 issue of Black Hood from DC's Impact Comics line delivers a double dose of action — two complete stories in one issue, with the second spotlighting the introduction of the Fox. Rick Burchett's cover sets a striking mood: a darkly costumed, cat-like figure with glowing yellow eyes crouches atop what appears to be industrial machinery, while vivid green slime and a red-cloaked figure dominate the foreground in a genuinely unsettling composition. It's a visually bold package that makes good on the promise of both its horror-tinged atmosphere and its headline-grabbing new arrival.
