In "An Oath To Kill," Black Fury finds himself captured by Holgar, who vows to either break him or kill him. After escaping, Black Fury is pursued across the frontier by Holgar and his vicious stallion, White Killer, whose bloodlust matches his rider’s. When the two horses clash, the tide turns violently—only for White Killer to turn on Holgar when the shooting begins. Fleeing in terror, Holgar abandons his mount, and White Killer, now broken from his master’s cruelty, joins Black Fury as one of the Ramada.
