Black Fury #13

Black Fury, a wild mustang stallion, is described as untamable—no man in the West can tame him. When a boy named Todd visits his grandfather's ranch, he sees Black Fury and wants him, but the horse eludes capture. A foreman and other men conspire to trap Todd and steal Black Fury for themselves. Black Fury uses his keen sense of smell to locate water in the desert, saving a lost rider, and later helps Todd escape the villains' trap by leading him away on a wild chase across the countryside.
