Black Diamond Western #24 is an anthology issue featuring several stories. "The Sand Creek Massacre" by Al Luster follows a conflict between a cavalry unit and Native Americans, culminating in a surrender demand and a plan to disarm the Indians at Wounded Knee in the morning. "The Legend of the Lake" is a text story about a boy named Randy who witnesses mysterious figures rising from a misty lake during a fishing expedition with a Native American guide named Eagle Eye.
