This issue contains three feature-length stories: "Chief Flying Fox's Stampede," in which Black Diamond confronts Native Americans and intervenes in a stampede; "The Strange Saga of the Mad Beagles," featuring an adventure involving Indians being led over a cliff and into a river, with guns and supplies lost in the water; and "Revenge at the Rodeo," where Tony Andrus prepares to compete in an amateur rodeo contest against the bully Tom Gander, hoping to win prize money for his education and to prove himself superior to his rival. The issue also features "The Ghost of the Mad Skeleton Mesa," suggested by the cover text.
