Black Diamond pursues a wounded outlaw named Bumper into the hills after a shootout outside a hotel, but Bumper's brother Rocky intervenes and claims Black Diamond shot him without cause. A drunk prospector named Hagestrom accuses Black Diamond of poisoning his cattle, forcing the masked hero to flee and investigate the real culprit—a man named Deadwood Dan—while clearing his own name. The story culminates with Black Diamond confronting the actual villains and resolving the frame-up before the townsfolk can lynch him.
