Black Cat Comics #32
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeFrom Harvey Comics' promise of the "Strangest Tales of Fear and Terror," this December 1951 issue delivers a genuinely unsettling cover scene: a bound, unconscious blonde woman hangs by her wrists while a snarling cat-demon looms over her, a hunched ghoulish figure clutches what appears to be a Last Will and Testament, and a squat green monster crouches nearby amid swirling black smoke. The interior promises "Baron of Death," suggesting the sinister figures surrounding her have very particular plans in store. Rudy Palais brings his distinctive, slightly grotesque line work to every inch of this cover, making it a vivid snapshot of early-'50s horror comics at their most delightfully macabre.
