Black Cat Comics #24
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeHarvey Comics' "The Darling of Comics" swings into action in this August 1950 issue, with Lee Elias's dynamic cover showing the masked, costumed Black Cat bursting through what appears to be an art gallery in spectacular fashion — surrounded by framed paintings (including a recognizable Mona Lisa), suspicious-looking figures, and scattered artwork suggesting serious trouble afoot. The cover promises "The Dangerous Masterpiece!" as the lead Black Cat adventure, written by Bob Haney with art by Lee Elias and inks by John Belfi, plus the bonus of an illustrated interview with film star Alan Ladd and additional features starring Linda Turner, Invisible Scarlet O'Neil, and Hollywood strip "Holly Wood." For a dime in 1950, this packed Harvey anthology delivered plenty of adventure alongside its spirited superhero headliner.
