# Black Cat #14 (1948) Black Cat, a Hollywood detective star, intervenes on a film set where director De Pille is filming a jinxed picture plagued by accidents involving loose animals and dangerous stunts. In the "Mary Worth and Her Family of Friends" story, Gypsy Monez, mistakenly believed to be a wolf by her boyfriend Eric Pendrake's best friend, must convince him of her true identity while a misunderstanding involving a girl named Linda threatens their relationship. A separate story depicts a bobsled race in which Coach Balderdash pushes an injured Jonathan Dixon to compete despite his condition, with the team ultimately racing in dangerous circumstances.
