Issue eight of Kelly Thompson's *Birds of Prey* arrives with a cover by Leonardo Romero that trades capes for a casual, conspiratorial hang — Hawkgirl, Black Canary, and a third woman share what looks like a relaxed but purposeful moment in the foreground, while a mysterious figure lingers on a staircase in the background.
