Gilbert Hernandez's *Birdland* gets a French-language edition from Komics Initiative, and the cover makes an immediate impression: a red-haired woman in elegant earrings and a heart-shaped necklace, her bare shoulders framed by a pair of eerie green hands reaching in from either side — with a single blue butterfly resting delicately between them.
