On the sidelines of a football game, a flustered coach points accusingly at a row of players bundled in white capes — and one of them is clearly a grinning girl who's snuck into the lineup, much to his exasperation. The cover gag is perfectly timed, with a packed cheering crowd waving pennants in the background and a stray helmet and football at their feet, all rendered in Henry Scarpelli's wonderfully expressive 1970 style. Binky's Buddies #7 captures that breezy, laugh-out-loud spirit that made DC's teen humor line such a delight.
