Billy the kid et la foire aux monstres #[nn]

From the creator of The Goon, Eric Powell teams up with Frédéric Wetta and artist Kyle Hotz for this French-language Wild West horror mashup. The cover, painted by Powell himself, puts a steely-eyed Billy the Kid front and center — duster-clad, hands ready at his sides — while a carnival of grotesque faces and sideshow banners (including a "Sproule Human Spider" attraction) loom eerily in the background. It's a wonderfully unsettling collision of frontier grit and monster-show atmosphere, published in 2007 under the New Morgue imprint.
